The Girls of Gore

In the last 10 years we've been treated to a decent decade of horror. It's been a certainly better ride than the 90's, that's for sure. I mean, for every Diary of the Dead we got...there was a 28 Days Later or Dawn of the Dead remake there to make things easier for the devoted horror film fan. One thing that's clear, however, is the abundance of female flesh in the genre. Although, some films were considered trash...the talent involved in the female variety was somewhat memorable. Today, I have 10 girls that represent the decade as well as the future of horror.

10. Alison Lohman (Drag Me To Hell)

Alison Lohman should not be on this list. She only really did one film in the genre. However, that one film is Sam Raimi's return to horror and it was one of the best released in 2009. Lohman showed the world that she could go toe to toe with the man who brought us the Evil Dead franchise and come out on top....or below. I've always thought she was an impressive talent and would like to see more of what she can do in the genre.

 

09. Amber Heard (All the Boys Love Mandy Lane, Zombieland)

Amber Heard announced earlier this year that she was in a lesbian relationship with another girl. What more do you need, people??? So hot! But, anyway...she has proven that she has what it takes to be the center in a horror movie....and she can play a supporting role. Plus...she's hot...and likes to make out with other hot girls.

 

08. Melissa George (30 Days of Night, Turistas, The Amittyville Horror, Triangle)

Melissa George is a true talent. She has done plenty of films in the span of the last ten years that has basically solidified her stance in horror film. Her turn in the film Triangle is her most impressive to date. She's definitely one to keep an eye on...for more reasons than one.

07. Sherri Moon Zombie (The Devil's Rejects, Halloween)

Sherri Moon Zombie is awesome. Her husband, Rob Zombie, keeps putting her in his films...mostly for her ass. But, the girl can act. Her role in The Devil's Rejects is proof that she can turn out a twisted performance and still manage to look hot.

06. Misty Mundae (Masters of Horror: Sick Girl, The Rage)

Misty Mundae, also known as Erin Brown, is my guilty pleasure. She's really hot in your traditional horror kind of way...pale skin, dark hair, girl-next-door looks. While she's shown her potential in both Masters of Horror: Sick Girl and The Rage, Misty is mostly known for her late night softcore skin flicks like Satan's School for Lust, Vampire Vixens, Lust for Dracula and An Erotic Werewolf in London.  I kinda hope she does more legitimate genre stuff...but, another part of me hopes she keeps showing her boobies, too.

05. Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil films)

Milla Jovovich is beautiful. And, to some degree, a talented actress. I mean, she has basically carried the entire Resident Evil film franchise on her tiny shoulders doing the same damn thing in every chapter. She's also a little weird. Ever listen to her solo album from the 90's? Atleast she knows how to dispatch a genetically altered zombie in the event of an Umbrella mishap.

04. Mila Kunis (Black Swan)

Even though, Mila Kunis has American Psycho II: All American Girl on her résumé, it's films like Black Swan that really show the potential of her ability...as well as her irresistable screen presence. I've been a fan of her screen presence for awhile and I certainly hope we will be seeing more of her screen presence (preferably minus the clothing) in the horror world. She definitely brings some credibility to any film she is in and it would be nice to see her in another film of substance...........with nude scenes.

03. Mary Elizabeth Winstead (The Ring Two, Final Destination 3, Black Christmas, Death Proof)
Mary Elizabeth Winstead is the only girl on this list that I might've actually had a shot at...had it not been for the restraining order. She is probably the most versatile out of all these lovely talents and has landed roles in epic films (Scott Pilgrim vs. The World) as well as genre films. She's a pretty prolific girl and you will see her next in the prequel to The Thing. I wouldn't mind showing her my thing. I'm sorry.

02. Kate Beckinsale (Underworld films, Vacancy)

Kate Beckinsale is stunning. Put her in a skin-tight rubber/leather fetish outfit and place her in various situations of intense action and you have a recipe for non-stop masturbatory fun. While Vacancy proved she can act, Underworld proved that she can fuck up werewolves and vampires...and look absolutely bangable while doing so.

 

01. Asia Argento (Land of the Dead, Mother of Tears)

I've always had a place in my heart reserved for Asia Argento. Sure she's not the hottest girl on this list and she's not the most talented. However, my first experience with Asia was in a film called Trauma where she unleashed her lovely talents...and displayed a passable acting ability. Her father directed her in that film. Oh.....you know who her dad is??? Dario Arfuckingento. So, that will give Asia a lifetime pass on this list as hottest of the hot.
