DEVIANT NEWS: More Scares From Drew Daywalt!

We have some really interesting news for you regarding our favorite horror short film director as well as a cool little treat for the AJ Bowen fans out there. Although, if you're not a fan of AJ Bowen...well...damn...we don't have any words for that.

So, it looks as though the success of Drew Daywalt's Leprechaun's Revenge  has sparked enough interest for another feature. Funny how film studios never catch on quick, huh? We've been fans of The Daywalt Fear Factory for years...so, we already know how badass the man is. If only studio executives would just learn to give a talented filmmaker a chance instead of just pumping money into stupid stuff.

Anyway...the film will apparently be called The Passengers (unless, of course, the studio feels like calling it something lame) and it involves a young couple hauling a supernatural force across the country. Sort of like Shipping Wars meets The Grudge. Check out the press release below for more details!

After three years of creating dozens of the most terrifying, award-winning short films in the world, Daywalt Fear Factory is producing its debut horror feature, THE PASSENGERS.

THE PASSENGERS tells the story of a young trucker and his wife who are terrorized by the tortured spirits attached to a load of antiques that the couple has been commissioned to haul cross country.

The film is being directed by Drew Daywalt who also wrote the screenplay. Edin Gali (MAD MEN, HEMMINGWAY AND GELLHORN) stars with Courtney Halverson (DEATH VALLEY, RED CLOVER). Jeff Farley is co producing and has signed on to do the extensive physical FX.

"We've been waiting for this opportunity for a couple years now. And since we're being financed through private investors, my team and I have the creative control to tell an intelligent, terrifying story. We're finally getting to make the film we want to make, in the way we want to make it. The plan is simple; tell a good story that scares the hell out of everyone."

Filming will take place in Massachusetts, New York, Ohio, Missouri, Utah, New Mexico and California.

Sounds pretty damn cool. We really can't wait to check it out! In the meantime,The Daywalt Fear Factory just released a new short called MEAT. It stars AJ Bown and Ed Ackerman and features the musical stylings of Corvo and a young Abigail Daywalt. It's probably the cutest soundtrack that we've ever heard in any horror short film. Actually...it is the cutest goddamn soundtrack that we've ever heard in any film. Check it out!

Thanks for reading!
