oLe SkOoL fLiCk: Vamp (1986)

Strippers, vampires and Long Duk Dong...that's pretty much the premise of this little gem from the annals of 80's horror. Remember New World Pictures? Remember a time when most horror films were pretty good? Remember when Grace Jones was making movies? This is a film that is pretty much watchable any day of the week. It's got it all...from a menacing albino vampire gang to Grace Jones dancing around in a metal wire thong to Gedde Wantanabe (Duk Dong) sprouting fangs. It's one of those movies that sticks with you from early childhood.

It's not the greatest vampire film I've ever seen...nor is it a significant horror film by any standard. However, it is a great way to kick off the Halloween season, which is why I'm recommending Vamp to you. Go check it out...it's a fun way to spend an evening with a loved one.

Currently, Vamp owns a pitiful 5.3 rating on IMDB...but, I think it deserves a better score. So, here....it gets a 7.5 out of 10.

Thanks for reading,

bryan.
